Who we are

FabricationConnect UK is an introduction platform that connects customers with welders, fabricators, machinists and metal specialists. We do not handle payments and we are not party to any work or contract agreed between a customer and a specialist.

What we collect

Depending on how you use the site, we may collect:

• Your name and contact details (email, phone)
• Your rough location (town or postcode area)
• For specialists: your business name, trade, description, key skills, website and social links, and photos of your work
• For customers: the details of the job you post, including any photos

Why we use it, and our legal basis

We use your information to operate the platform — to publish specialist listings, to show posted jobs, and to let customers and specialists contact each other. Our legal basis is your consent (which you give by ticking the box when you submit a form) and our legitimate interest in running the service you have asked to use.

Who we share it with

• Customers' details are shared with approved specialists so they can respond to your job.
• Specialists' listings are shown publicly so customers can find them. A specialist's email is only shown if they choose to switch it on; otherwise it stays private.
• We use trusted service providers to run the site — including our database and hosting providers, a UK postcode lookup service to show approximate areas, and a mapping provider to display maps. We never sell your data to anyone.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as your listing or job post is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

Your rights

You have the right to ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or withdraw your consent. To do any of these, email hello@fabricationconnect.co.uk and we will action it.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
